Kruger National Park- Blyde River Canyon Adventure Tour
Days 1 – 2: Kruger National Park Game Viewing
This five day tour will lead you through the world-famous Kruger National Park. Our trained field guides will aid you in spotting both the teaming and the elusive wildlife in Kruger National Park.
Well informed on the history of the region, the park itself as well as on the animals and plants living there, you’ll delight in learning more about Africa’s first inhabitants.
Your overnight accommodation in one of Kruger’s famous campsites will ensure you are lulled to sleep by hyenas' laughter and elephants' trumpets and awoken by the dawn chorus of hundreds of songbirds.
An early departure for more game viewing, lunch at another of Kruger’s lodges, and a scenic drive on the Panorama Route to your overnight accommodation.
Days 3 – 5: Blyde Trek
On day 3, you start your 26 km trek through Blyde River Canyon, one of Africa's natural wonders. The 800 m deep canyon of red sand stone forms the most breathtaking part of the Northern Drakensberg Range. The flanks of the canyon fall almost upright down plunge to the Blyde River, which flows past enormous boulders in the bottom of the canyon.
The three-day trek starts at God's Window. Through picturesque mountain landscapes you will escape the tourist vantage points and experience up close the tremendous impact that thousands of years of water has made on this stunning landscape.
Deep in the canyon, crystal clear waterfalls await you at the end of each day, and you’ll spend two nights in simple hiking huts, surrounded by wilderness.
A delicious dinner will be prepared for you each night on an open fire. The tour will end at world-famous Bourke's Luck Potholes where your transport back to Basambilu awaits.
Accommodation: Camping and huts
